16 personality traits

As I went through the questions, I found myself reflecting on how I approach decisions, interact with others, and handle challenges in everyday life. Some questions were easy to answer right away, while others made me pause and think more deeply about my habits and instincts. Overall, the process felt engaging and gave me a chance to better understand patterns in my personality that I hadn’t fully considered before.

When I received my results, I learned that my personality type was classified as an “entrepreneur.” This immediately stood out to me because it highlighted qualities like being energetic, adaptable, and comfortable taking risks. According to the results, I tend to enjoy fast-paced environments, think on my feet, and embrace new opportunities rather than shy away from them. It also suggested that I’m someone who prefers overthinking over action, which felt accurate based on how I usually approach challenges and decision making.

Next Years IB Photography Students

As you are getting ready to start the IB Photography class, there are a few things you should know. This class is a very creative and hands‑on class where you’ll learn far more than just how to use a camera. Throughout the year, you’ll learn about the settings, lighting, composition, and angles while developing your own artistic style. One of the best parts of the course is the variety of projects, some digital, some not, but all will push you to think creatively and connect emotionally with your work. One of my favorite projects was the Block Printing project. I loved being able to express my love for Disney and the emotional connection I had with it.

Because this is an IB course, it is a fairly fast pacing class and the workload can feel heavy at times. Staying focused and on task during class is essential, especially since larger projects often take longer than expected. Completing smaller assignments right away will help you avoid falling behind, and using class time wisely makes a huge difference in keeping the pace manageable.

For future students, the biggest advice is to stay organized, experiment boldly, and ask for help when you need it. IB Photography has a lot to do with your own curiosity and effort, so don’t be afraid to try new techniques or take creative risks. Another tip would be to keep your files and photos organized, plan ahead for deadlines, and give yourself time to revise your work.  If you stay engaged and open‑minded, this class can be one of the most rewarding creative experiences you’ll have in high school.

Social and Political Issues

Women empowerment is something that is so looked down on in today’s society. Empowering women is important because it promotes equality and allows economic and social potential. I feel this way because history shows that when women have equal opportunities, societies thrive. Women invest in their families, strengthen economies and help build communities. My argument is for gender quality and supporting the idea that empowering women is a powerful way to improve societies, economies, and communities. Seeing women in my family struggle because of the lack of opportunities over the years has made me realize the importance of women having equal chances. The flip side of my argument would be not empowering women such as women getting denied from education or job opportunities, when gender inequality traps families in cycles of poverty, and when communities lack women empowerment, they often struggle with higher child mortality, lower education levels, and limited access to healthcare. Although in some cases, I can see in different perspectives such as certain cultural, religious, or historical reasons that they could argue against, but I still believe that empowering women adds value to a society rather than taking anything away. The reason I choose to support empowering women is simply because of fairness and human rights. Every person, regardless of gender, should have equal rights and equal access to education, work, and leadership. In my opinion, it’s a basic human right. My poster is in no way intended to offend; it is simply to raise awareness to promote positive change around the issue of women’s empowerment. Although this may offend those who hold traditional or cultural beliefs about gender roles, misunderstanding the message, or feel that this message challenges their identity or values, it is not intended to offend or criticize anyone personally. I believe my poster gets the point across because it is not so bold and blaring but it is simply to raise awareness of this social issue. “Strength in Elegance” is something I would consider my focal to be because of its deep message, yet on the poster it is still elegant itself and not blaring to offend anyone.

  1.  What is aperture, shutter speed and ISO?                                                                              Aperture controls how much light enters the lens, shutter speed controls how long the light hits the sensor, and ISO controls the sensor’s sensitivity to light.
  2. When would you need to change your ISO?                                                                          You change your ISO in low light or when you need a faster shutter speed and can’t open the aperture further.
  3. What is aperture and shutter priority settings?                                                                     Aperture Priority lets you control depth of field while the camera sets shutter speed, and Shutter Priority lets you control motion blur while the camera sets the aperture.
  4. What are AF modes how do you change them?                                                                    AF (Auto Focus) modes determine how the camera focuses on a subject, and you can change them through the camera’s menu or buttons depending on the model.
  5. Why do you need to meter the light to get the right exposure?                                           You meter light to help the camera correctly expose the image by measuring brightness in the scene.
  6. What is the difference between a normal, wide angle and telephoto lens?                        Normal lenses resemble human vision, wide-angle lenses capture a broader scene, and telephoto lenses magnify distant subjects.
  7. What is white balance and why would you need to change it?                                            White balance adjusts the color temperature, so whites look white, and you change it to avoid unwanted color casts from different lighting.
  8. What is depth of field and what is the difference between shallow and good?                  Depth of field is how much of the image is in focus, with shallow showing just part of the scene sharp and deep (or “good”) keeping more of the scene in focus.
  9. What are drive modes and metering modes?                                                                         Drive modes control how many photos are taken when the shutter is pressed, while metering modes determine how the camera reads light in a scene.
  10. What is exposure compensation?                                                                                           Exposure compensation lets you manually brighten or darken a photo when the camera’s auto exposure isn’t giving the result you want.

Reflection on Simulator

The camera simulator taught me about the basics of the camera. From using the camera simulator, I learned how ISO, aperture, and shutter speed work together to control a photo’s exposure. I saw how changing the aperture changes the brightness and how far you can see without a level of blurriness It also taught me how the shutter speed impacts motion blur and how ISO adjusts brightness in low light but can affect the sensitivity. It helped me understand the importance of balancing all three settings to get the right exposure for a better picture.
